The current market conditions are already tipped in favour of buyers, but add to that Vendors who are desperate to sell before Christmas, and these last couple of weeks of the year are the perfect time to negotiate hard and buy a home at well below the price you would paid 3 months ago. This is bargain hunting season!
The Australian Financial Review has written an article calling December the ‘sweet spot for buyers’. Traditionally most real estate agents take January off and spend the month sunning themselves somewhere gorgeous but 2016 may be different with the market much more active in January and the bargain hunting continuing well into the new year.
